Arbor Eco Technologies:
The Element is made with a book-matched koa wood-top that delivers improved performance and durability.  During construction, resin locks the dense wood fibers in place, creating a structural layer that makes the board stronger and more responsive.  Koa or “warrior” wood was first used 1,000 years ago by the Hawaiians to build the original surfboards.
